With Sepp Hennes and it all started



Cologne - Hennes Weisweiler (born December 5, 1919, † July 5, 1983). The Rhenish legend trainer led in the 70 years Mönchengladbach (3 time champions, DFB Cup, UEFA Cup) and the first FC Cologne (Master, 2 times DFB-Pokal) to many titles.
Also Weisweiler learned his "craft" at the Sports University, took part in the first training course run by Sepp Herberger, 3 November 1947 to 28 February 1948. From 1957 to 1970 he was the sole training director. acquired under his leadership including Gero Bisanz (became his successor as instructor), Tschik Cajkowski, Erich Ribbeck, Udo Lattek, Hannes Löhr, Pal Csernai, Berti Vogts and Otto Rehhagel their trainers license. In 2005, the Academy of Sport coach in college-Hennes Weisweiler Academy was renamed.
Interestingly, had to submit what Weisweiler and Co. in 1947 for the first course to be approved:
• An application for admission to enroll at the University of Cologne in duplicate
• A resume with a sporty career
• A policy questionnaire, the military government, should review, inter alia, the candidate with regard to their political past of National Socialism.
