Dear Venetia, away with the fur!
Dusseldorf - The carnival threatening Affliction? The animal rights organization PETA has appealed with a letter and video footage of tortured animals at Venetia Ute Heierz-Krings.
Had received a fur coat from Slupinski. PETA asks them: "Please be a compassionate role model by not wear fur."
This tradition is decades old: Every Venetia gets a fur coat as a loan for a fashion store for the session.
Now that PETA (providers include Leona Lewis, Natalie Portman, Thomas D. and Kaya Yanar) supports the request to not wear fur, more directed at her, surprised the carnival.
"What Peter?" Said Venetia Ute, as EXPRESS asked for an opinion. She had the package to Thursday from Gerlingen not in the mailbox. "No comment."
Engelbert Oxenfort: "Even my Venetia Almuth 31 years ago had a fur coat," recalls the president of the Comitees Düsseldorf carnival. The whole thing is probably never so challenged.
Motto: The fur comes from the Kings, the meat from the freezer. "If Ute will wear it, then it should." But Oxenfort shows to talk. "I respect their opinion. I am also against cruelty to animals. I suggest that PETA and I talk about that. "Tanja Wiemann of PETA:" Sure! "
